Jared Johnson highlights the recent production from Jaxson Hayes and why managers should consider picking him up.
JARED JOHNSON: A season high 17 points without missing during Sunday's domineering win over the Clippers. And he's been forcing his way into the rotation with his powerful play as of late, taking a page out of Zion Williamson's book and putting anyone on a poster who dares to challenge him at the rim. Over the past five games, Hayes has been converting on 88.9% of his field goal attempts, a franchise best shooting percentage over a five game stretch to go with averages of 11.4 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 1.4 blocks per contest.
The second year center is still a bit raw. But if he can keep this hot streak going and establish himself as a mid 20s role player, he could certainly have some solid fantasy value as a shot blocking specialist in field goal percentage booster. Now, he's by no means a must roster player at the moment. But he's gaining traction. So I'd recommend putting him on your watch list.
