Hazelwood up for AP awards

Apr. 17—COLUMBUS — Reflector Sports Editor Mark Hazelwood is up for a number of awards in the Associated Press Media Editors 2022 contest.

Hazelwood is a five-time Ohio Prep Sportswriters Association Writer of the Year winner while working for the Reflector and Sandusky Register.

In his 18-year writing career, the two AP awards — to be announced next month — will give him a total of 81 writing awards from the Associated Press, the Ohio Society of Professional Journalists and the OPSWA.

Also up for an award is former staff writer Mike Magnuson.
