The victim in Sunday's fatal Dartmouth crash has been identified. Here's what we know.

DARTMOUTH — A crash on Chase Road in Dartmouth Sunday afternoon resulted in one death and two seriously injured, according to a release from Dartmouth police.

Around 3:50 p.m., Dartmouth police say they responded to the area of 242 Chase Road for a head-on collision involving a 2006 Cadillac Seville and a 2015 GMC Acadia.

The male operator of the Cadillac, identified by Dartmouth police as John Aylward, 75, was transported to St. Luke's Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The 82-year-old male operator of the GMC, as well as his 75-year-old female passenger, were also transported to St. Luke’s Hospital, where they were being treated for serious, but non-life-threatening, injuries at the time the Dartmouth police' press release was posted Sunday night.

Though the cause of the crash is still under investigation by both the Dartmouth Police Department Crash Reconstruction Unit and the Massachusetts State Police Detective Unit of Bristol County, police say it appears Aylward's vehicle veered into the oncoming lane of traffic.

As of Monday morning, no further information had been made public.
