Serhii Haidai, the Head of Luhansk Oblast Military Administration, has reported that the Ukrainian military approached the city of Kreminna and currently are at a distance of several kilometres away.

Quote: "Our troops are a few kilometres away from Kreminna. I hope that by the New Year, we will hear news about the liberation of more settlements in the region."

Details: Haidai noted that the liberation of Luhansk Oblast will be very difficult, because the Russians "prepared well" to defend their positions.

The head of the Oblast said  that "the Russians placed the units that were prepared last, near [the town of] Svatove and Kreminna".

Haidai is convinced that the winter weather will facilitate the rapid movement of vehicles at the front.

He also mentioned the partisans in Luhansk Oblast, who produce "some amount of cotton". [Russian propaganda, initially refusing to use the word ‘vzryv’ (explosion), used ‘khlopok’ (a bang) instead. However, ‘khlopok’ also means ‘cotton’, and this has since become a meme – ed.]

Previously: Haidai is convinced that by the end of winter, the defence forces in Luhansk Oblast can reach the 2014 demarcation line and liberate the entire Oblast during 2023.
