CommonSpirit Health — the result of a Dignity Health and Catholic Health Initiatives partnership — is looking for participants who want to form part of their new Research and Equity Advisory Council for Housing Insecurities (REACHI).

The council aims to build partnerships between people with lived expertise, the health care system, and providers and advocates of homeless services.

Community members are invited to apply for two roles currently available: one co-chair opening and between 10 to 12 general member positions, according to the application.

The selected applicants will serve as a voice for the community. They’ll provide guidance and collaboration in understanding community needs, identify areas of prioritization for outreach and programming, and help transform how housing insecurities and homelessness are addressed.

All REACHI meetings will take place virtually (four times a year — once a quarter for about 2 hours each), and members will be compensated $100 for each meeting they attend. Applicants must be 18 years of age or older to apply.

Applications opened on Nov. 8 and will not be accepted after Nov. 30. Those interested in applying can answer the required questions in their Google Docs form: https://bit.ly/30l5tug.

For more information, or if you require accommodations in completing the application, email nicole.wilson900@commmonspirit.org. Dignity Health will be able to offer translated applications or other support by request, “which will not impact your application consideration or eligibility,” the application says.
