Health officials discuss COVID-19 in Sacramento County schools

There have only been a small number of COVID-19 outbreaks in schools in Sacramento County since students returned to the classroom, according to public health officials. Sacramento County Public Health said it is a sign that the safety precautions in place are working. Before the start of the school year, many parents were concerned about how COVID-19 might spread with children being back in person again. There is no vaccine available for children younger than 12 years old and the highly contagious delta variant has become the dominant strain.
