Ashland County Board of Commissioners

Thursday, Dec. 1, meeting

KEY ACTION Hannah McKee, wellness coordinator at the County Commissioners Association of Ohio, presented the yearly findings of the Ashland County’s HealthWorks Program and self-reported data, including information on county employees' financial wellness.

DISCUSSION: “Between employees and spouses eligible, you have approximately 360,” McKee told commissioners. “And you have 182 that actually completed the blood work. That is 73 male and 109 female.”

McKee also showed a chart that compares Ashland’s findings with other counties, which had Ashland faring well in the areas of blood pressure, cholesterol and blood sugar levels.

“You can see where you fall as compared to the national average,” added McKee. “And you are right below pretty much all of them … and that is just wonderful news.”
