No one likes to be sick, injured or to have an emergent need for medical care, but sometimes things happen that are beyond our control.

It is in these moments that it is important to know where you can seek the most appropriate level of care for whatever injury or illness you are experiencing.

When you are sick or injured with something non-life threatening any one of our local University Hospitals urgent care providers can deliver expert, patient-centered care.

Urgent care centers are for non-life threatening injuries and illnesses that need to be treated without the wait that you may have when scheduling with a primary care provider.

Visits to an urgent care for minor cuts that may need stitches, sprains and minor broken bones are appropriate.

Illnesses like strep throat and sinus infections also can be treated at an urgent care.

In some cases, if an urgent care provider feels that you need a higher level of care, you may still be sent to the hospital emergency room.

There is usually an out-of-pocket cost for an urgent care visit, but it is typically less than going to the emergency room.

University Hospitals Samaritan Medical Center has four urgent care facilities

University Hospitals Samaritan Medical Center has four urgent care facilities throughout our local communities.

Each urgent care has expert providers to care for patients when they need it most.

Let’s highlight each of the local urgent cares.

Appointments are not necessary at any of these urgent care locations.

It is important to keep in mind that not all urgent care locations have radiology or outpatient laboratory services available for patients at this time.

On site radiology means patients can have X-rays completed for injuries that indicate the need.

Facilities that have outpatient laboratory services means the staff can draw labs that are ordered by a primary care doctor close to home eliminating a trip to the main lab at UH Samaritan Medical Center.
