Sweetgreen, a national salad chain with a cult following and celebrity partner – tennis star Naomi Osaka – opens its long planned West Palm Beach location at The Square Tuesday.

The fast-casual restaurant with Washington D.C. roots originally was slated to open in November at the plaza, then known as Rosemary Square. It makes its debut in the space between the Casper and Tommy Bahama stores.

Sweetgreen boasts nearly 3,000 square feet of indoor dining space, an outdoor dining patio and a menu focused on seasonal specials. The West Palm Beach menu will include specials like the Steelhead Remoulade, which combines roasted steelhead, shredded kale and cabbage, chopped romaine, red onions, tomatoes, spicy sunflower seeds, lemon and remoulade dressing. The seasonal specials will be on the menu through March. 30.

Locals can also expect to see Sweetgreen’s Guacamole Greens, a deconstructed guacamole bowl featuring roasted chicken, on the menu along with the brand’s more popular bowls, like the Miso Bowl and the Crispy Chicken Salad bowl.

The salad-loving spot joins a mini-wave of health-minded restaurants at The Square. They include Dr. Andrew Weil’s True Food Kitchen, Planta and Pura Vida.

On opening day, Sweetgreen will greet its new West Palm Beach home with a neighborly gesture: For every meal that’s sold that day, the restaurant will give a meal to Palm Beach Harvest to help local, needy families.
