How much do you really know about your neighbors?
This isn't about a new true crime podcast.
In these divisive times, hearing different perspectives is even more important. I am betting you wouldn't mind knowing other members of this community a little better.
A great chance to do that is coming up this week.
Five Greater Columbus residents will share neighbor-themed personal stories 7 p.m. tomorrow, June 15 as part of Columbus Storytellers Project sponsored by the Columbus Dispatch and organized by journalist Danae King.

King and I will co-host the show at the Columbus Athenaeum, 32 N. 4th St. in downtown Columbus.
Tickets are $12 at dispatch.com/attendstorytellers.

WILL SCHOOL BE SAFER IF MORE TEACHERS ARE ARMED?
In the wake of the Texas mass school shooting, Gov. Mike DeWine discussed a plans to prevent such tragedies in Ohio.
Yesterday he signed a bill that will let teachers, principals and other staff members carry firearms into classrooms after just 24 hours of training.
It lowered the training hours from 700 hours.
David Ryan King, a postdoctoral scholar specializing in cardiology at The Ohio State Wexner Medical Center, recently moved to Ohio from Virginia with his wife and two children.
He says DeWine's recent gun decisions are dissuading him from wanting his kids to grow up in an Ohio public school system.
"At a time when gunshots are the number one cause of death for children in the United States, we should focus on enacting legislation to limit access to firearms and protect our children as opposed to putting guns in more hands," he writes in a new guest column. "It’s easy to understand the brain drain if your children’s safety is the cost of staying in Ohio."
