The school district of a missing Saratoga County 9-year-old girl released a statement Monday as law enforcement continues to search the area.

"The Corinth Central School District is unfortunately aware that an Amber Alert has been issued for one of our 4th grade students, Charlotte Sena. The Sena family has the full support of the entire Corinth district and community.
"The district has mobilized its crisis team which has training and protocol to follow for such situations. Our staff will be ready to respond to student concerns and questions. We will also have extra counselors on site for any students or staff who should need their support.

What happened to Charlotte Sena?
Charlotte was riding her bike around a loop in the bucolic park with other children when she decided to ride around one more time by herself.
Her parents became alarmed when she failed to come back after 15 minutes, Gov. Kathy Hochul said at a briefing Sunday. The girl's mother called 911 after her bicycle was found about 6:45 p.m. Saturday. She was last seen around 6:15 p.m., according to police.

Hochul on Sunday said that it was a chaotic scene and her parents immediately suspected something was drastically wrong and started searching the campground area for Charlotte.
