(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The 10th Annual Night to Shine formal event for people with special needs was held on Friday, Feb. 9, 2024. The event happens worldwide in over 56 countries on 6 continents. Over 700 churches volunteered to host the event.

Tim Tebow, former quarterback for the Denver Broncos, began Night to Shine in 2015 through his foundation, the Tim Tebow Foundation. Tebow was able to personally visit and surprise guests at seven different Night to Shine locations around the world including Guatemala, Belize, Colombia, Brazil, and three locations in Ohio, USA.

“We thought how cool would it be to do something to radically celebrate overlooked people,” Tebow said, “And now, it’s 10 years later and look at all that God has done through Night to Shine, more than we ever could have thought, dreamed, or imagined . . . one thing in my heart and my prayer is that Night to Shine is a time where the honored guests don’t just hear they are loved, but they get to experience God’s love.”

Hundreds of thousands of volunteers participated in making Night to Shine happen. Tebow and his wife Demi danced and had fun with guests and volunteers at every event they were able to attend.

“Our hope is . . . that they didn’t just know love as a concept,” Tebow said, “but they experienced the love of all the people cheering for them, they experienced the love of Jesus and walked away knowing full well in their heart they are loved.”
