Heat advisory continues for all of South Florida. Here’s when it will end.
The National Weather Service has issued another Heat Advisory, this one running through Wednesday.
Temperatures will peak in the low-mid 90s during the afternoon today, Tuesday and Wednesday.
But when humidity is factored in, the heat index (also known as the apparent temperature) is what the temperature actually feels like. And that will shoot up to the 105-110 degree range across all of South Florida including Miami Dade, Broward, Palm Beach, Collier, Hendry and Glades counties.
Monday’s heat advisory is for South Florida, much of central Florida, and the southern parts of both Texas and New Mexico, said meteorologist Sammy Hadi.
Tonight when the sun goes down, there will be a shred of a break: It will be in the lower 80s along the coast, and mid to supper 70s inland.

Hadi’s advice: if you must be outside, take frequent breaks, stay in the shade or go into the air conditioning, stay hydrated, wear light colors such as white that don’t absorb the sunlight, “take a break and pace yourself.”
The Saharan dust plume that reached South Florida this weekend, after leaving the coast of Africa last week, is contributing to things being “warm and toasty” because it tends to limit showers and thunderstorms, which in turn brings some relief to the heat since the clouds block out the sun.
A second plume is coming later this week, Hadi said.
But here’s some comforting weather news: the seven-day tropical weather outlook shows no hurricane threat to Florida; a system in the middle of the Atlantic now has a 30% chance of developing, but any movement is steering clear of the U.S.
