DETAILED FORECAST:

OVERNIGHT: Warm and muggy with a passing shower or storm possible with temperatures in the low 70s.

THURSDAY: Partly sunny to start Thursday with a chance of a shower northwest. A better chance for showers and storms will develop into the afternoon.

Storm Center Seven Meteorologist Robert Gauthreaux says one or two storms may become strong to severe with damaging winds possible.

Locally heavy rain could also lead to some minor flooding. Not as hot, but still very warm and muggy for the day with highs in the upper 80s. Storm chances will diminish into the night once the sun sets.

FRIDAY: Partly sunny, hot and muggy. Highs in the middle 80s. Scattered thunderstorms will redevelop, especially in the afternoon.

SATURDAY: A few storms may redevelop on Saturday. Otherwise, partly sunny and warm with highs in the middle to upper 80s.

SUNDAY: Partly cloudy with highs in the upper 80s. Slight chance of an isolated shower or storm.

MONDAY: Mostly sunny with scattered showers and storms possible. Highs in the middle 80s.

TUESDAY: Partly sunny with a few showers or storms possible, especially early in the day. Highs in the middle 80s.

WEDNESDAY: Partly sunny, warm, and less humid. A stray shower or storm is possible. Highs around 80 degrees.
