Heat to stream 2020 playoff replays to ease Tuesday election wait

The best cure for Election Day lines? The Miami Heat believe the remedy just might be the best of Jimmy Butler, Bam Adebayo and the best moments from the team’s run to the just-completed 2020 NBA Finals.

Having been rejected by Miami-Dade County to utilize AmericanAirlines Arena as an early-voting poll site, the Heat announced a plan Friday to ease the wait for those who plan to cast their ballots Tuesday.

So on both the team’s website (Heat.com) and the team’s app, the Heat will offer a dawn-to-dusk selection of one-hour game broadcasts from the team’s run to the Eastern Conference championship, and beyond.

The streams are only available in South Florida.

Tuesday’s offerings:

6 a.m., Round 1, Game 1 vs. Indiana Pacers: Jimmy Butler scores a game-high 28 in the Heat’s first playoff game in the Disney World quarantine bubble.

7 a.m., Round 1, Game 4 vs Pacers: The Heat completed their 4-0 first-round sweep of the Pacers to advance to the Eastern Conference semifinals for first time since 2016.

8 a.m., Round 2, Game 2 vs Milwaukee Bucks: Then Heat take a 2-0 series lead on a pair of game-winning free throws by Butler.

9 a.m., Round 2, Game 3 vs Bucks: The Heat overcome a late deficit with a 40-point fourth quarter to take a 3-0 series lead.

10 a.m., Eastern Conference finals, Game 1 vs. Boston Celtics: Bam Adebayo seals the victory with his blocked shot at the rim against Jayson Tatum.

11 a.m., Eastern Conference finals, Game 4 vs. Celtics: Tyler Herro breaks out with a 37-point performance.

Noon, Eastern Conference finals, Game 6 vs. Celtics: The Heat eliminate the Celtics 4-2 to claim their sixth Eastern Conference championship.

1 p.m., NBA Finals, Game 3 vs. Los Angeles Lakers: The short-handed Heat climb back into series behind a triple-double from Butler.

2 p.m., NBA Finals, Game 5 vs. Lakers: The Heat stave off elimination thanks to another Finals triple-double from Butler.

3 p.m., Round 1, Game 4 vs. Pacers: Replay, see above.

4 p.m., Round 2, Game 3 vs. Bucks: Replay, see above.

5 p.m., Eastern Conference finals, Game 1 vs. Celtics: Replay, see above.

6 p.m., Eastern Conference finals, Game 4 vs. Celtics: Replay, see above.

7 p.m., NBA Finals, Game 3 vs. Lakers: Replay, see above.

8 p.m., NBA Finals, Game 5 vs. Lakers: Replay, see above.
