Heavy rainfall drenched San Diego County: A quick look at totals

UPDATE: Winter storm dumped record rain on San Diego County

SAN DIEGO — Widespread rain is showering the region.

The moisture is coming from two different storm systems moving across Southern California.

The storms brought some light showers during the morning hours Sunday with moderate rain in some parts of the county between noon and midnight.

The heaviest rainfall set in Monday with the NWS’s precipitation timing and intensity chart showing midnight Monday through midnight Tuesday as peak hours for San Diego County.

A Flood Watch expired at 9 p.m. Monday.
