Heavy Rain Causes Flooding and School Closures in Saudi Arabia's Jeddah

Heavy rain flooded roads, prompted school closures and caused flight delays in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on Thursday, November 24, according to Saudi media reports.

Footage posted to Instagram shows vehicles driving through fast-flowing water in a city that usually gets just 2.5 inches of rain a year. The source said the video was filmed in the Al Hamadaniyyah neighborhood.

The Saudi Gazette reported all schools and universities were closed due to the adverse weather.
