The National Weather Service issued a flash flood warning for Topeka, Kansas, on July 30 as heavy rain inundated the area.
The Topeka Fire Department said it received multiple reports of vehicles stuck in floodwater throughout the city and urged motorists to stay away from water. “Just a few inches of flood water can wash a vehicle away,” the department said in a tweet.
