Heavy storm leaves hundreds in Prescott and Flagstaff without power, APS reports
Hundreds of residents were without power in Prescott due to hazardous weather, according to data from the APS outage map.
The outage occurred at 7:24 p.m. and originally affected more than 5,000 homes, but by 8:20 p.m. power was restored to all but about 400 homes. Power was expected to be completely restored by 11:30 p.m., APS said.
APS reported that the boundary was from State Route 69 to Poland Road and from Marapai Road to Big Bug Mesa Road. An area from Tamarack Lane to Eagle Crest Drive and Prescott View Place to Soaring Avenue was also affected.
In Flagstaff, storm damage left more than 500 customers without power. That area was reported as Ponderosa Parkway to Interstate 40 and Beaver Street to Pine Cliff Drive. Power was expected to be restored by 9:15 p.m.

Northern Arizona saw heavy storms all day Monday, with Prescott seeing one-inch-wide hail early in the afternoon.
There have been flash floods and severe thunderstorm warnings in both Yavapai and Coconino counties.
