Heflin man is killed in auto accident Sunday

Oct. 10—An automobile crash has claimed the life of a Heflin man, according to officials.
Kenneth May, 64, was involved in a single vehicle accident just before 6:30 Sunday night, when his Dodge Journey SUV "left the roadway, struck a metal guardrail and then a creek," on Interstate 20 outside of Heflin, Alabama Law Enforcement Agency stated in a press release.
According to the release, May was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. No further information as to the cause was given in the release.
ALEA continues to investigate the incident, Trooper Justin O'Neal stated in the release.
