Heiner, Maidens hold off Columbia Falls for win
Feb. 8—RONAN — Olivia Heiner hit four 3-pointers and scored 25 points Thursday, leading the Ronan Maidens past Columbia Falls 50-48 in a Northwest A girls basketball game.
Heiner hit her third 3-pointer and scored five points during a 16-8 third-quarter surge that put the Maidens (7-10 overall, 5-4 in the Northwest A) up 40-33 going to the fourth quarter.
Hope McAtee, who scored 20 points for Columbia Falls (10-6, 5-4), fueled the Wildkats' fourth-quarter surge with six points.

BIGFORK — Braeden Gunlock poured in 28 points, 14 coming in the second quarter, and Bigfork finished its regular season 18-0 by thumping District 7-B foe Thompson Falls.
Both Paeten and Braeden Gunlock hit two 3-pointers for the Vals, who went 10-0 in 7-B games. Ava Davey hit a three as well on the way to 13 points.
Ellie Baxter had 12 points for Thompson Falls (11-3 overall, 7-2 in league).
