Deion Sanders is going to have star company among HBCU coaches, per a report on Sunday.

Tennessee State will name former Heisman winner and Houston Oilers/Tennessee Titans running back Eddie George as its head coach, per Brett McMurphy of Stadium.

Reed has held the position since 2009. The Tigers are 2-4 heading into their season finale.

George was a four-time Pro Bowler and the 1996 AP Offensive Rookie of the Year. He played for the then-Houston Oilers following his selection with the No. 14 overall pick out of Ohio State.

He earned his Pro Bowl nods in the four seasons following the relocation of the franchise to Tennesse. The final year resulted in his only All-Pro selection, as he led the league in rushing attempts (403) with a career-high 1,509 yards and 14 touchdowns. He also posted 458 receiving yards and four touchdowns that season.

George has spent part of his post-football career in acting.

Sanders, a Pro Football Hall of Famer, is in his first season at Jackson State.
