Helen Flanagan has admitted she’d rather go through labour that do another I’m A Celebrity Bushtucker trial.

The actor was a contestant on the ITV reality show in 2012 and last year returned to the jungle to do the All-Stars version, which sees former campers doing another stint, this time in South Africa instead of Australia.

Speaking on Loose Women, Flanagan admitted the series – which was filmed last year but starts airing this month – was pretty challenging.

“I did one trial and I did think to myself, yes I’d probably rather give birth right now,” confessed the Coronation Street star, who has three young children.

Flanagan, 32, said she is “a wimp” but that she felt pressure not to let her eldest daughter down.

She said: "I did tell her that I was going into the jungle and then I YouTubed a few clips and she was like, ‘Mummy, you were rubbish!’ She was like, 'You were awful.'

"So I have like, I have that pressure. I couldn’t let my little girl down when I was there, you know. I’m naturally a wimp, I naturally am. I’m scared of heights, spiders, snakes."

"I mean you name it, I didn’t like anything like that," she added.

"But I had to think, I can’t let her down."

Other celebs taking part include former royal butler Paul Burrell, Countdown star Carol Vorderman, supermodel Janice Dickinson, boxer Amir Khan and cricket star Phil Tufnell.
