On Watch What Happens Live Thursday, when a conversation with Actress Helen Hunt turned to sequels, host Andy Cohen mentioned the often discussed possibility of a Twister sequel. And wouldn’t you know it? Hunt actually had a pretty interesting idea for one, and it included her directing and co-writing alongside Daveed Diggs and Rafael Casal.

“I tried to get it made,” Hunt said. “With Daveed, and Rafael and me writing it, and all black and brown storm chasers, and they wouldn’t do it. I was going to direct it.”

As you might imagine, Cohen was pretty shocked to hear that this idea was once being discussed. But he didn’t ask the next logical question, which is: who shut down this idea? Well, the 1996 classic original that also starred the late Bill Paxton alongside Hunt, did come from Warner Brothers, so that might be a good place to start if you’re looking for answers.

ANDY COHEN: "Twister" 2, Helen, "Twister" 2. I want to see it.

HELEN HUNT: I tried to get it made, with Daveed and Rafael, and me writing it, and all Black and brown storm chasers-- and they wouldn't do it. I was going to direct it.

KYLIE MAR: Helen Hunt was on Watch What Happens Live, Thursday, and when the conversation turned to sequels, host Andy Cohen mentioned the often-discussed possibility of a "Twister" 2. And, as it turns out Helen, who has been collaborating with Daveed Diggs and Rafael Casal on their new "Blindspotting" TV show, wanted to work with them on a new "Twister" project as well.

ANDY COHEN: Are you kidding? That's a brilliant--

HELEN HUNT: No, I'm not kidding. We couldn't even get a meeting. Wasn't it such a great idea?

ANDY COHEN: Yes, but I also I want you in it too.

KYLIE MAR: Now, we're not really sure who shut down this idea, but the 1996 classic that also starred the late Bill Paxton did come from Warner Brothers, so that might be a good place to start. And if it does end up happening, at least Helen's role in the sequel is practically already written.

HELEN HUNT: I feel like a cameo of the elder, you know, or tired, haggard--

ANDY COHEN: You could die-- you could die in a tornado in the first minute of the movie.

HELEN HUNT: That's for sure what I would do.
