Helicopter egg drops, bourbon, antiques: 5 things to do this weekend in metro Detroit

From helicopter egg drops to visits with the Easter Bunny, there's a lot to do for kids and adults in Metro Detroit this weekend. There's a bourbon festival with live music and food, a shopping event with more than 200 local entrepreneurs and chance to talk with experts on home improvement ideas.

Here are a few things to do on the weekend of March 31:

Eggstravaganza

Easter eggs will rain from the sky during six separate egg drops from helicopters each day of this event. Activities will also include a petting zoo, magic shows, roaming costumed characters, free photos in the barn with the Easter Bunny. Fire pits, food trucks and artisan vendors will also be on site. For an additional fee, guests can ride inside a monster truck and visit Canterbury’s giant dino and dragon tent.

A buffet style "breakfast with the bunny" with a parfait station will be held each day of Eggstravaganza at 9:30 a.m. and 11: 30 a.m.
