More Austin restaurants have announced plans to contribute to relief efforts in Uvalde following the mass shooting at Robb Elementary in the South Texas town.

A portion of proceeds from sales Saturday and Sunday will go to verified GoFundMe campaigns that have been established to assist the families in Uvalde.

Austin Food Adventures, an Instagram page that provides opinions about food in the Austin area, helped organize the effort, called "Dine with Uvalde."

Amanda Wong, who runs the account, said Saturday she felt with her platform it was easy to bring business together for a good cause.

"This event allows (individuals) to support their favorite businesses and help out the families of the victims of the shootings," Wong said.
