Need help with your taxes? Learn about your 2022 tax return with Savannah call-in day

Those who dread taxes don’t have to look far for help.

Accounting firm Hancock Askew & Co. is joining forces with the Savannah Morning News and Savannahnow.com to hold a tax question call-in-day on March 24.

Five experts from the firm will be on hand to take questions from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. People interested in getting help can call 912-226-2474, but for those unable to attend the call can go online at hancockaskew.com/annual-tax%20call-in/.

State lawmakers: No increase to Savannah's hotel/motel tax this year

Christine Cox, marketing director of the Hancock Askew & Co., said tax experts will be available to ask tax questions about their taxes like the use of the stimulus money.

State and federal taxes are due on April 18.

After the call-in day, she said there would be a list of frequently asked questions from the call posted on the firm’s website.

“For us, it is a way for us to kind of give back to our clients and the community,” she said. “Sometimes it is clients that call, but it is folks in the Savannah community that are hoping to get an easy question answered.”
