RCSJ hosts annual holiday concert

VINELAND – Rowan College of South Jersey–Cumberland will present its annual Holiday Concert at 3 p.m. Dec. 5 in the Frank Guaracini Jr. Fine and Performing Arts Center on the college’s campus.

This year’s holiday concert includes a repertoire of seasonal favorites performed by the College’s Jazz Band and Wind Symphony.

“The Rowan College-Cumberland campus bands are approaching their 39th performance season,” said Joseph Akinskas, adjunct professor, music education, and campus band director. “The holiday season concerts are always the highlight of every performance year.”

Concertgoers will feel the holiday cheer as the Jazz Band performs tunes such as “Feliz Navidad” and “Santa Baby,” and the Wind Symphony plays favorites including “O’ Come All Ye Faithful” and “Here We Come A Caroling.”

The Jazz Band and Wind Symphony will also perform at An Olde Fashioned Christmas on the Ave in Vineland and at Cumberland Mall.

Admission is free.

Help Vineland Police ‘stuff a cruiser’ with toys

VINELAND – Vineland Police Department, in partnership with Walmart and Vineland Police Athletic League, will conduct a “Stuff-A-Cruiser” toy drive to benefit local children from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dec. 4 at Walmart at 1070 W. Landis Ave.

VPD will have cruisers and the PAL bus available to “stuff.”

Community members are invited to donate new, unwrapped toys, for children ages 8 to 12.

Build a gingerbread house at Millville Public Library

MILLVILLE – Families with children of all ages are invited to get crafty at Millville Public Library during a build a gingerbread house event from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Dec. 18.

All materials will be provided.

Participants should wear clothes that can get dirty.

Registration is required.

The library is at 210 Buck St.
