Helping your student catch up this summer? Tutoring services in Chittenden county.

Hoping to give your student an academic boost this summer? Tutors across Chittenden county are offering a variety of services.

The impacts of COVID-19 on academic achievement have been numerous − from adjusted schedules and remote learning, to absences due to quarantine and sickness. As a result, many students and teachers had difficulty settling into a learning rhythm for the last couple years.

If you think your child could use some individualized help, there are a variety of resources. Some schools are running summer school programs for students, and administrators may have the name of teachers offering tutoring throughout the summer.

Or, you could hire a tutoring service. Private tutors can run $25 to $80 an hour or $150 to $200 a month at a tutoring center, according to tutors.com.

Here are six tutoring businesses in the area providing one-on-one, in person tutoring this summer and have a website where you can find more information.
