Henagar man dies in single-vehicle crash in DeKalb County

A Henagar man died Monday in a single-vehicle crash about 5 miles south of Henagar, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency's Highway Patrol Division.

William Keith Love, 54, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash on DeKalb County Road 667 near DeKalb County Road 668.

According to Alabama State Troopers, the 2001 Dodge Durango Love was driving struck a fence and a ditch on private property. The vehicle traveled across DeKalb County Road 667 and hit a tree off the roadway.

After the impact, the Dodge went back on the road, crossing it moving backward. The vehicle became engulfed in flames.

The crash occurred at about 4:44 a.m. Monday.

Troopers said the driver was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash. An investigation continues.
