Henderson County has several places to find pumpkins for picking
Halloween is now less than two weeks away, and if you're still shopping for pumpkins, Henderson County has several places where you can take your pick.
Listed below are 10 spots where there are plenty of pumpkins to choose from:
Grandad’s Apples ‘N Such
Location: 2951 Chimney Rock Road, Hendersonville.

Description: The 120-acre farm offers pumpkins, apples, nectarines, peaches along with a corn maze, gift shop, snacks and refreshment stand, restrooms, picnic area and a petting zoo.

Jeter Mountain Farm
Location: 1126 Jeter Mountain Road, Hendersonville.

Hours: 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Thursdays and Fridays, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays.

Description: Jeter Mountain Farm is a you-pick apple orchard located on nearly 400 acres in Hendersonville. In addition to apples, peaches, blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, elderberries and sunflowers, the farm has pumpkins, which become available in early October each year.

Justus Orchard
Location: 187 Garren Road, Hendersonville.

Description: The family farm has apples, blackberries, and now a large variety of pumpkins. There are also baked goods for sale with a refreshment stand and a picnic area.
The Nix Pumpkin Patch

Description: According to Visit Hendersonville, the Nix Pumpkin Patch is a one-of-a-kind farm stand that offers you-pick pumpkins and winter squashes. It sells a wide variety of local produce, local meats and dairy, handcrafted gift items, coffee, baked goods and more.
Linda's Plants and Shrubs
Location: 308 Stepp Acres Lane, Hendersonville

Description: This family farm grew 15 acres of pumpkins and gourds this year along with apples, mums pansies and other things for fall displays. There is also an indoor pumpkin maze for kids. The farm started growing pumpkins in 2012 and was the first to offer pick your own pumpkins in the area.
Stepp’s Hillcrest Orchard

Sky Top Orchard

Description: Pick-your-own pumpkins are available through October on this family-owned farm that has more than 50 acres. It also offers apples and grapes and has a farm stand open through late December.
