Henderson Ford in Webster acquired by West Herr Automotive Group
The West Herr Automotive Group has acquired Henderson Ford on Ridge Road in Webster, the Erie County-based company announced via news release this week. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
The location, at 810 Ridge Road, just west of Five Mile Line Road, reopened Wednesday morning as West Herr Ford of Webster. The Ford dealership was open for 18 years prior to the change, according to West Herr.
With the new site, the auto group will have seven dealerships in Monroe County — Mercedes-Benz of Rochester and BMW of Rochester, both in Henrietta, West Herr Subaru of Brockport, and West Herr Ford of Rochester, West Herr Toyota of Rochester and West Herr Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram Fiat of Rochester, which are all on West Ridge Road in Greece.
The Ridge Road dealership becomes the company's fourth Ford dealership, and its second Ford dealership within Monroe County.
West Herr first expanded into Monroe County in 2010, according to the company's website. West Herr Lebrun Toyota of Canandaigua in Ontario County joined the automotive group last year, making it the easternmost dealership within the company.
Randy Henderson, who sold the dealership to West Herr, said that the auto group felt like the "right fit for our staff and family with great values and integrity, and I believe will bring additional growth into the Webster and surrounding communities as well as opportunities for our staff."

"In bringing to the dealership our additional management talent and technology, dramatically larger new and used inventory, we feel we can grow the dealership and serve Webster and the surrounding communities on the foundation that Randy Henderson built.”
West Herr was founded in 1950 as a Ford dealership in Hamburg, Erie County. This acquisition brings the company to 31 West Herr locations, all within western New York, making it the largest automotive group in the Empire state. The automotive group employs more than 2,300 people — and will gain another 60 through the acquisition.
