Henderson police take 1 into custody after east valley barricade

UPDATE: Henderson police said they had taken one person into custody following the barricade. The scene is expected to be cleared by police shortly after 6:30 p.m.

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) – Henderson police investigated a barricade on the east side of the valley that was connected to a crash near Warm Springs Road and Marks Street.

Police said the barricade is in the 4900 block of Andover Drive near Tropicana Avenue and Boulder Highway.

The crash occurred at approximately 3 p.m.

Preliminary information reported by Henderson police stated that a robbery/carjacking may have possibly taken place at the scene of the crash.

No injuries have been reported.

Drivers are asked to avoid the area as Las Vegas Metropolitan police and Henderson continue investigating the scene.

LVMPD Air, Patrol, and K9 units are assisting the Henderson Police Department in the incident.
