Henderson man killed in moped crash Monday

HENDERSON, Ky. — A Henderson man died Monday night when his moped collided with a sport utility vehicle.

According to a news release from the Henderson Police Department, Ricky Brown was driving his moped on Sand Lane, while an SUV was going the opposite direction on the same road. When the SUV turned off Sand Lane onto Fairground Lane, the two collided.

Police responded to the scene at 8:54 p.m. Brown was transported to Deaconess Hospital with injuries but was pronounced dead at the hospital. He was 58. The SUV's two occupants were not injured.
