Hendersonville Police arrest Florida man with 55 outstanding warrants, possible drug lab

On Tuesday afternoon, Hendersonville Police officers were conducting an investigation related to stolen property and ended up arresting a man who had 55 outstanding warrants and who appeared to be operating a portable clandestine lab.

According to a press release by the city of Hendersonville, the investigation was at a house on Bridgette Loop Road, and Gage Brodin Karet, 32, was arrested. His city of residence was listed as Daytona Beach, Florida.

The scene was secured, and the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation was contacted to assist with the removal of contaminated materials.

Karet was charged with the following:

  • Five counts of breaking and entering of a motor vehicle

  • Two counts of financial card fraud

  • One count of possessing stolen property

  • One count of burglary

  • One count of firearm by felon

  • One count of resist delay obstruct

Karet's 55 outstanding warrants were out of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg area, and further charges are expected related to numerous breaking and enterings within Hendersonville and Henderson County, the release said.

Karet was not a property owner, renter, or Airbnb guest at the residence where the incident occurred.
