The areas of study are air quality, heat islands, food deserts, and traffic density. They will monitor how they relate to certain socioeconomic and geographic factors in Little Rock.

The Little Rock Zoo was the first community partner who agreed to the study and Dr. Courtney Hatch, a professor at Hendrix said she is looking forward to many more partnerships for research in the future.
