Here's how to avoid an arrest for a municipal warrant

An amnesty period for residents to resolve outstanding municipal warrants ends Friday – meaning those with warrants unresolved past that date will be sought by Corpus Christi police as part of an annual warrant roundup, according to officials.

Through Friday, those aiming to resolve any warrants may pay their citations or contact municipal court officials to explore other arrangements, a news release issued by the city of Corpus Christi states.

According to the email, options to pay citations include:

  • By phone at 1 (866) 299-7084

  • Online at www.municipalonlinepayments.com/corpuschristitx

For information related to potential payment plans or to contact a judge, residents may also visit the municipal court at 120 N. Chaparral St. between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. from Monday through Friday, the news release states.

Municipal warrants can apply to traffic, penal code and city ordinance violations, according to the city’s municipal court site.

Among reasons warrants in those cases may be issued when those cited violate a court order, do not make an initial court appearance or do not appear on the scheduled court date, it states.

For questions, residents may contact officials:
