Here's when Capital Grille steakhouse is opening its doors in Louisville
The Capital Grille steakhouse will finally open its doors to luxury dining guests in Louisville on Feb. 3.
Opening at 7600 Shelbyville Road in the Oxmoor Shopping Center, the new restaurant spans nearly 10,000 square feet including a lounge as well as private and semi-private space for events.
The Capital Grille is best known for its dry-aged in-house steaks, fresh seafood and world-class wine list. Steaks are hand-carved daily by the restaurant’s butcher, with selections including dishes like bone-in dry-aged New York strip steak and sliced filet mignon with cipollini onions, wild mushrooms and fig essence and more.
The menu includes dishes such as lobster and crab cakes ($25), tuna tartare ($20), chef's suggestion steak plates ($53-$64), main courses ($34-$60), seafood ($40-49) along with shareable sides ($11-$23).
The Capital Grille also has more than 350 wine selections, a wine cellar with more than 3,000 bottles, and private wine lockers available for annual lease. Guests may also choose from 30 wines "rarely" offered by the glass, according to a press release, including library vintages and highly sought after limited bottlings. Staff is trained to make personalized recommendations for guests choosing their perfect pairings.
The Capital Grille will be open daily for dinner Sunday to Thursday 4-9 p.m., Friday and Saturday 4-10 p.m. Lunch is available Monday to Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Valet service is available during dinner starting at 4 p.m. Reservations are recommended but not required.
