Here's who Collierville Board of Mayor and Aldermen chose to fill vacant school board seat

A longtime educator was chosen to fill the open Collierville school board seat.

Charles Green was unanimously selected by the Collierville Board of Mayor and Aldermen to fill the unexpired Position 4 term on the Collierville Municipal School Board. Green’s appointment was made official during a special-called meeting Friday at Collierville Town Hall.

He fills the seat left by former member Keri Blair, who resigned from the Board of Education in January after being arrested for allegedly shoplifting at Target. She was elected to the school board in November 2022.

Green brings a wealth of experience to the Collierville Municipal School Board. He is a retired public school educator and educational administrator. During his more than 30 years of experience in education, Green served in several leadership roles, including as assistant principal, principal and various administrative positions within Memphis City Schools and other districts across the country.
