Here's Every Angle of the 2020 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500

The Shelby GT500 is the quickest, fastest, and most capable Mustang on sale right now. With a supercharged V-8 packing 760 horsepower under the hood, it can outrun pretty much anything else on the road. And thanks to clever suspension tuning, grippy tires, and a fast-shifting dual-clutch transmission, it's not half-bad on track either.

Ford has released dozens of high-res pictures for us to gawk at. Here they are, all in one place.

Shelby took the Mustang's design and turned it up to 11. There are specific front and rear bumpers, side skirts, wheels, and aero scattered along the body, as well as plenty of Shelby badges.

The car looks menacing from the front, with a wide-mouthed grille opening that looks like it's flanked by fangs.

The car shown here is equipped with the $18,500 Track Pack. It gets you these sweet carbon fiber wheels, as well as a bigger wing and sticky Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 rubber.

The 5.2-liter supercharged V-8 under the hood of the GT500 is a derivative of the engine found in its naturally aspirated sibling, the Shelby GT350. Here, it uses a cross-plane crank rather than a flat-plane unit, and produces 760 horsepower at 7500 rpm and 625 lb-ft of torque at 5000 rpm.

See anything missing here? That's right, there's no stick shift or third pedal. Unlike the rest of the Mustang range, the GT500 is available only with a quick-shifting seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.

While that might be hard to swallow for some of the brand's hardcore fans, the transmission itself is a wonder, able to snap off quick, seamless shifts lap after lap. If you want a new supercharged Mustang with a stick, consider the Roush Stage 3 Mustang instead.
