Here's Everything We Know About Maybelline New York's Next Nude Eye Shadow Palette

Beauty nerds know Maybelline New York has a habit of making big product reveals during the most unexpected moments. This week is no exception. At Wednesday's Country Music Awards, Kacey Musgraves walked the red carpet in a bronzey smoky eye with big, fluttery lashes — and while Musgraves wearing that kind of eye look isn't anything new, the product her makeup artist used to achieve it sure is. As it turns out, Musgraves was wearing Maybelline's upcoming Nudes of New York, a never-before-seen eye shadow palette that's hitting shelves soon.

Makeup artist Moani Lee explains in a press release that the neutral look was chosen as a nod to classic country music and to complement Musgraves's retro yellow dress. The makeup look was all Maybelline everything: foundation, concealer, blush, bronzer, eyebrow pencil, and lipstick. Then came the eyes, done entirely with the Nudes of New York Palette. "Using the shade Founder, I dusted this light brown shade through the crease and below the lash line for subtle definition," Lee says in the release. "Then, I packed the shade Artist onto the lid to brighten the look before blending Globetrotter on the outer third."

The eye shadow palette itself is truly a staple, combining 16 versatile and warm neutral shades in both matte and metallic finishes. Your checking account will be pleased to hear it retails for a cool $14, and you can have it all to yourself starting today if you buy it online. Amazon and maybelline.com carry the palette now — if you like to swatch before you buy, though, you can catch the Nudes of New York Palette in stores starting January 2020.
