Who knows, he may even just be playing himself in a cameo appearance – although his outfit does seem a bit bizarre for that...

Free Guy stars Ryan Reynolds as a bank teller who discovers he's a background character in an open world video game that will soon go offline.

Killing Eve star Jodie Comer also features in the film, playing an avatar called Molotov Girl who helps Guy (Reynolds) on his quest to find the game's creators and prevent them from destroying his world.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Jodie also has a role beyond the virtual landscape, as it's thought she'll also play a "mousy programmer" who created the game only to have it stolen from her.

Alongside Ryan, Jodie and Channing, Thor: Ragnorak director Taika Waititi, Lil Rel Howery (Bird Box, Get Out) and Joe Keery (Steve from Stranger Things) will all also star in the film.

Stranger Things director Shawn Levy takes on directing duties for this project.

Free Guy is currently filming in the US, and is due for release in July 2020.
