Here's when Hopdoddy Burger Bar will come to Corpus Christi

A new burger joint is joining the Shops at La Palmera.

Hopdoddy Burger Bar will open at 4902 S. Staples St., where Grub Burger Bar resides, at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 4.

The Austin-based business acquired Grub Burger Bar in January 2022.

To celebrate its grand opening in Corpus Christi, Hopdoddy will give away a free burger to the first 100 people in line.

Guests can also enter to win free burgers for a year by sharing a post or story on Instagram about their visit, tagging @hopdoddy and using #hopdoddylove.

In a release, Hopdoddy CEO Jeff Chandler said he is excited to bring the business to the area.

“Hopdoddy is ready to raise the burger bar in Corpus Christi with fresh and responsibly sourced ingredients and quality our fans can taste," Chandler said. "We can’t wait to see everyone lined up for a free burger at our grand opening celebration.”

The menu features burgers served on one of three different house-baked buns or as a bowl on a bed of fresh house greens. The menu also caters to a variety of diets with a vegetarian black bean and corn patty, a 100% plant-based patty from Beyond Meat and a gluten-free menu.

Each month, Hopdoddy features a limited-release burger creation.

During opening week at the Corpus Christi location, Hopdoddy will debut the Mother Nature burger, made with a Force of Nature 100% grass-fed regenerative beef patty, a Vital Farms pasture raised egg, cheddar cheese frico, Brother’s Bond Bourbon onion jam, crispy shallots and au poivre aioli.

A full-service bar will serve margaritas, draft cocktails and local craft beer.

Hopdoddy will be open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday to Thursday and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
