Here's hoping juries award Sandy Hook parents ALL of Alex Jones's filthy money

We live in a land of lousy lying SOBs.

We live among individuals who utilize the power of social media to infect otherwise rational human beings with conspiracy theories about an imagined group of Satan-worshiping elites who run a child sex ring out of the basement of a pizza parlor in Washington, D.C., and who are trying to control our politics and media.

The liars convince some that the earth is flat.

They persuade others that the late John F. Kennedy Jr. will miraculously appear at the spot where his father was assassinated.

They induce others to believe the COVID-19 vaccines contain 5G microchips that the government or global elites use to track citizens.

And they brainwash still others – too many others – that the 2020 presidential election was stolen.

Alex Jones may be the worst liar of them all

Lies.

Each harmful.

Each often spread by those who know they are spreading lies, but who also know that spreading lies gets them attention, gets them money, gets them votes.

But of all the lousy lying SOBs to utilize the internet and the airways to spew their filth the lowest, the lousiest might be Alex Jones.

And now, finally, he will be made to pay.

Literally.

For years after the 2012 massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn., Jones spread the disgusting lie that the savage killings were faked, staged by the federal government.

“Sandy Hook is synthetic, completely fake with actors, in my view, manufactured,” he said.

Donald Trump called him 'amazing'

This is a man who also claimed that the 9/11 attacks were staged by the U.S. government; a man who said the government is using chemicals to “create” gay people.

During his run for the presidency, while Jones was spreading his BS about Sandy Hook, Donald Trump appeared on his show and said, “Your reputation is amazing. I will not let you down.

Amazing.

That’s what Trump called a man who denigrates the memory of murdered children.

Because of Jones’s lies, and the idiots who believed them, some of the families of the 20 first graders and six educators who were slaughtered at Sandy Hook were harassed by those who fell for Jones’s disinformation.

And some of those parents decided to fight back.

Sandy Hook parents strike back in court

They filed defamation lawsuits.

Jones and his attorneys have delayed and delayed and delayed. But last year judges in Texas and Connecticut ruled him liable by default.

Now, trial juries are about to decide how much to award the families in compensatory and punitive damages.

Hopefully, they’ll take everything.

Every damn dime.

Jones is already on the hook for $1 million in sanctions for failing to show up for a deposition.

Finally, some justice is being served

He’s trying to play the victim, begging the suckers who listen to him for money and saying things like, “I’m not a quitter and I can’t give up. I am working seven days a week to fight these bastards.”

Imagine that.

Calling the parents of murdered children, people you lied about, magnifying their grief and suffering exponentially … bastards.

Like I said. All of his money. Please.

And it shouldn’t end with him.

Neil Heslin and Scarlett Lewis lost their 6-year-son, Jesse Lewis, at Sandy Hook.

Speaking of Alex Jones and those like him, Heslin said, “It’s very hard to fathom or relate to the danger of these online conspiracies and conspiracists, and the trial I think will definitely set a picture in people’s minds of how dangerous it is. I very much look forward to justice being served. It’s something that Jones started, and I’m going to finish it.”

Bless him.

Bless them all.
