The new "Avengers Campus" at Disneyland, California will give fans a chance to join Earth's mightiest heroes. Marvel just dropped some more details of the upcoming park at the D23 Expo, and we already can't wait to visit.

"We're building an immersive super hero-themed land at Disney California Adventure to enable our guests to join the Avengers to save the world," said Bob Chapek, chairman of Disney Parks, Experiences and Products.

Originally announced in March 2018, here's how the press release describes the planned immersive experience:

"The Avengers are setting up new Headquarters and training facilities around the globe to inspire all potential recruits willing to step up and become something more. As part of this global initiative, Tony Stark has founded the Worldwide Engineering Brigade — or WEB for short — to develop advancements in super-powered technology, including new enhancements to Spider-Man's suit as their debut project. By bringing together the world's brightest young inventors, the WEB is creating new interfaces that will empower all of us to join the ranks of Earth's Mightiest."

The character of Spider-Man sounds pretty integral to this whole WEB ride: hpefully the recent negotiation hurdles between Disney and Sony, which are threatening to remove Spider-Man from the MCU, won't extend to the Avengers Campus.

The Avengers Campus will open in summer 2020. An attraction featuring Marvel characters including Black Panther, Iron Man and Captain Marvel is also set to open at Disneyland Paris next year, and Disneyland Hong Kong is planned to under-go a "multi-year expansion" to its existing Marvel-themed attractions.
