Here's what you need to know if you're going to Friday's sold-out Soul Asylum concert

The Soul Asylum concert at the Goss Opera House Friday night is sold out.

Goss Executive Director Jamie Mack said the opera house saw a "mad rush" for tickets in the last week. The venue will be at capacity, and no further tickets will be made available, she said.

Capacity depends on how things are set up, but the opera house sold 450 tickets for Soul Asylum, a combination of general admission and reserved tickets, Mack said. For a standing-room-only show, capacity is around 500, she said.

Soul Asylum was one of the biggest rock bands of the mid-1990s, and its 1993 hit "Runaway Train" won a Grammy for best rock song. The band's first release, "Grave Dancers Union," peaked at No. 11 on the Billboard charts in 1992. The follow up, "Let Your Dim Light Shine," hit No. 6 in 1995.

Doors for the show open at 7:30 p.m., and music starts at 8 p.m. Strange Daze will be the opener, which Mack describes as an up-and-coming rock band out of Minneapolis.

Mack said people should look at the opera house's website for parking information since parking will be limited at the front of the building.
