Here's When 'The L Word: Generation Q' Season Three Will Premiere

Hey L Word fans, get ready for November!
The official Instagram for Showtime’s The L Word: Generation Q dropped a tantalizing new image yesterday showing the front page of a script for episode 301 of the show covered in notes. But it’s one bit we’re most excited about: a sticky note that says the new season will be streaming November 18!
The image also has several other notes, like “from power to peace,” “I wanna watch you f*ck my ex/our ex/your clone,” “I wanna f u on my live stream,” and “Last year? Later? Queerer?” But the written note that has most of our attention is one in the bottom left corner that says “someone gets married?”
So, who do you think will be getting married? Sophie and Finley? Tess and Shane? Micah and Mirabel? Dani and Gigi? Alice and Tom? Tina and Carrie? Tina and BETTE??? The possibilities are honestly endless.
Season three will have plenty of guest stars, including legendary comedian Margaret Cho, actress Joey Lauren Adams, and singer Kehlani. Additionally, Jamie Clayton, who plays Tess, has been upped to a series regular.
Cho will appear as herself, doing guest-hosting duties for Alice’s talk show. Actress Joey Lauren Adams (Chasing Amy) will play Taylor, “a salt-of-the-earth, self-deprecating barista with a secret passion.”
Fans of the show will remember that last season, Tess and Shane’s relationship was interrupted several times by Tess having to drive to Las Vegas to take care of her ailing mother. This season, Joanna Cassidy (Blade Runner) is joining the cast as Patty, Tess’s mom who is a former Las Vegas showgirl with MS and dementia.
Our favorite bit of new casting for the show, however, is singer Kehlani, who will play Ivy, “a makeup artist and young parent who heads up Alice’s glam team and falls for the wrong person.” Who could that wrong person be?? Alice? Sophie? FINLEY???
The L Word: Generation Q is one of our favorite shows, and portrays queer women’s communities in a way that we hadn’t really seen on TV before. We can’t wait to see where the third season takes us.
