Here's which Lebanon County municipality grew the most between 2020 and 2022

Overall, Pennsylvania saw a net population decrease of -0.2%, just over 30,000, between 2020 and 2022, according to U.S. Census Bureau estimates.

Those estimates were calculated using administrative records to estimate population as of July 1, 2022. All population change calculations were made against 2020 population estimate base that integrates the 2020 Census, Vintage 2020 estimates and 2020 Demographic Analysis estimates.

Forest County saw the largest percent decrease in population at -5%, while Philadelphia, with a population decrease of 36,541, saw the largest numerical loss.

Allegheny, Beaver, Cambria, Clearfield, Erie, Fayette and Westmoreland counties all saw population decreases of 2,000 or more.

A total of 27 counties throughout the commonwealth, including Lebanon and its surrounding counties of Dauphin, Berks and Lancaster, have seen population increases since 2020.

Cumberland County saw the largest percent increase at 3.5%, the largest population increase was in Chester County with gain of 11,415.

On May 18, the Census Bureau released its population estimates broken down by municipality. A total of 750 municipalities in Pennsylvania saw an increase in population, while 1,745 municipalities saw a decrease.

In Lebanon County, Cold Spring Township saw the highest percent decrease at -1.7%. However, that translates to a population loss of one, as only 60 people lived there in 2020.

Lebanon City saw a total population decline of 346, the largest in the county.

North Cornwall Township saw the largest growth both in percentage and numerically with a population increase of 657 or 7.2%.

Two other municipalities, Annville Township and Bethel Township, saw percent increases over 2%, population growth of 146 and 257, respectively.
