Here's the lineup for the 8 Great Tuesdays summer concert series
The annual 8 Great Tuesdays summer concert series will feature a diverse mix of talent this year, from the local Erie All Stars and blues guitarist "King" Solomon Hicks to a Bruce Springsteen tribute band.
The Erie-Western Pennsylvania Port Authority on Tuesday announced performers for the eight-week series that begins July 5 and runs for eight consecutive Tuesdays, 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.
The lineup:
July 5: Erie All Stars
July 12: Zac Brown Tribute Band. Opening: Reignmaker
July 19: "King" Solomon Hicks. Opening: The Pierce Dipner Band
July 26: Concrete Castles. Opening: The Polkamaniacs, Patrick Lah
Aug. 2: The Town Pants. Opening: The Probables
Aug. 9: Latin Fusion
Aug. 16: Buffalo Rose. Opening: The Ron Yarosz Power Organ Trio
Aug. 23: Bruce in the USA. Opening: Jack Stevenson & The Buried Treasure Band
The Port Authority oversees the concerts at the Highmark Amphitheater at Liberty Park on the bayfront.
The free concerts are sponsored by ErieBank.
"The concerts continue to offer a very balanced lineup between local artists and those that are more regional and even national," said Brenda Sandberg, the Port Authority's executive director. "It's important for the authority to support our local musicians and provide them an opportunity to perform on a large stage as much as it is to provide our audience with the opportunity to hear music that may not otherwise be available in Erie."
No COVID-19 restrictions will be implemented, Sandberg said.
The 8 Great events will feature numerous local vendors. For information, call 814-455-7557 or visit porterie.org.
