Here's what local races voters can expect to see on the spring ballot in the Fox Cities
APPLETON - The spring election is four months away with important local races for mayor, circuit court judge and school board members on the ballot.
Incumbents and challengers may begin circulating nomination papers for candidacy between Dec. 1 and Jan. 2 to secure a place on the April 2 ballot.
If more than two candidates in any race file adequate nomination papers in January, a primary will be held on Feb. 20.
Here are important dates for voters to remember:
Jan. 31: Deadline to register to vote online or by mail for the spring primary. Register to vote at myvote.wi.gov.
Feb. 20: Spring primary. Find your polling place here.
April 2: Spring general election and presidential primary.
